Ready to bring the designs in your head into the physical world? Then this short-and-sweet workshop is for you! Over four weekly, 2-hour sessions you’ll dive into the world of ceramic jewelry - learning how to create petite pieces that are strong, lightweight, and eye-catching. Whether you’re new to clay or looking to expand your creative repertoire, you’ll leave with a polished mini-collection that’s glazed, assembled, and ready to wear (or gift).

What you’ll explore:

  • Shaping small forms: Master pinch, coil, slab, and mold techniques.

  • Texture & surface design: Experiment with stamps, carving, underglazes, and layered color.

  • Glazing for jewelry: Learn glaze application strategies to achieve specific colors and finishes.

  • Hardware & assembly: Gain confidence in finishing your pieces with hypoallergenic findings so everything is studio-quality and wearable.

Bring your curiosity and your ideas; we’ll supply clay, tools, glazes, and professional support to help you achieve your goals. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only wear your own art - you’ll understand the entire process from raw clay to polished final product.

Please note:

  • MUD does not offer make-up classes for missed sessions, including absences due to illness, travel, or personal scheduling conflicts. Our classes follow a structured curriculum, and missed instruction cannot be rescheduled. We encourage students to carefully review the class dates before enrolling to ensure they can attend all sessions.

  • This class does not offer any wheel throwing instruction.

  • There is an additional firing fee of $3 per pound for each piece a student wishes to glaze fire and take home, but no firing fee is applied to bisqued work.

  • In the event of adverse weather conditions, MUD Ceramics Studio will remain open for classes unless a Travel Advisory is issued recommending the suspension of non-essential travel.

Thank you!
